At the BANCC Annual Conference, we invite attendees to submit and present abstracts. Abstracts are an opportunity to report on a research or quality improvement project, audit, service evaluation or literature review.
Posters and abstracts for the 2025 BANCC Annual Conference
At the BANCC Annual Conference, we will have moderated posters in the most peer supportive way with prizes including academic writing workshops to support you through to publication in the BJCN. Posters can be anything from research and academic projects to clinical case reports, audits and service evaluation. Why not share your examples of best practice, no matter how small!
Guidance and Submission Guidelines for the 2025 BANCC Annual Conference
Abstract Submission Deadline: Friday 28th February 2025
The British Association of Nursing in Cardiovascular Care (BANCC) invites abstract submissions for its Annual Conference 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to share research, clinical advancements, and innovations in cardiovascular care.
Submission Process
Abstracts must be submitted via email to bancc@bcs.com.
Authors do not need to be BANCC members to submit an abstract.
If an abstract is accepted, at least one of the authors must be available to present at the BANCC Annual Conference on 25th April 2025.
Abstract Formatting Guidelines
Title: Maximum 250 characters (including spaces).
Abstract Text: Maximum 3,000 characters (including spaces). Use mixed-case letters.
Structure: The abstract should include the following sections:
Introduction
Methods
Results
Conclusions
Keywords: Submit three relevant keywords associated with the abstract.
A full PDF copy of the abstract must be emailed for administrative purposes.
Notification of Acceptance
Authors will be notified by email by the end of March or the beginning of April 2025 regarding the acceptance of their abstract.
If accepted, it is the author’s responsibility to prepare and print a poster presentation for display at the conference.
Poster Presentation
Successful applicants should print off their poster prior to attending the BANCC Annual Conference.
Portrait style is preferred due to space restrictions.
Please restrict to a maximum of A1 size.

BANCC Study Day 2023 Poster Joint-Winners Laura Kinsey and Helena Masters
Laura Kinsey and Helena Masters were joint winner for best poster presentations at the 2023 BANCC Annual Conference. Laura Kinsey’s presentation was entitled ‘Exploring the lived experiences of parents when caring for an adolescent with congenital heart disease (CHD). Helena’s presentation focused on Heart Failure.
BANCC Study Day 2023 Winner Bethan Cowley
Bethan Cowley won with her poster presentations at the 2023 BANCC Annual Conference. Her presentation was entitled ‘Mainstreaming Genomic Healthcare in Cardiac Nursing: Inherited Cardiac Conditions Nurse Training Posts’.
